CHECKUPS AND CLEANINGS

The American Dental Association recommends regular dental examinations at least twice a year for children and adults of all ages. We check each tooth and the surrounding tissues during your exam, including your gums, tongue, and cheeks. We carefully inspect every tooth for cavities, assess gum health, and look for any damage, including broken or worn teeth. We also provide oral cancer screenings and examine your temporomandibular joints (TMJs). A thorough approach allows us to create a personalized treatment plan just for you. 

To assess the areas beyond the visual exam, we may take a complete set of digital X-ray images of the teeth and jaws. This allows us to diagnose cavities, identify any pre-existing bone loss, and check for abnormalities in the jaw. Radiographs are highly recommended once a year and required before certain dental procedures.
